Allow service provider access
A service provider is the company that installs and looks after your instruments and routers on Cytometa’s behalf. If Cytometa has assigned one to your organization, you decide whether its staff may sign in to your organization — for example to commission a new instrument, check a router or help with gating — and you can withdraw that at any moment.
The Service Provider Access card appears at the bottom of the Security page only when your organization has a service provider. If you do not see it, you have none.
The card names your service provider. With the switch on, its staff can sign in to your organization.
What their staff can do
Section titled “What their staff can do”While access is allowed, what a user of your service provider can do depends on the role the service provider gave them:
| Their role | What they can do in your organization |
|---|---|
| Admin | The same as one of your organization administrators: everything in Organization Settings and full Admin rights in every workspace. |
| Member | The Manager role in every workspace. They cannot manage your users, routers, API clients, workspaces or security policy. |
They do not appear in your Users list, and they always sign in with multi-factor authentication.
Their names stay on the work they did — a saved gate, a regate — even after you withdraw access.
Allow or withdraw access

Select the gear () at the bottom of the left navigation, then select Security.
-
In Service Provider Access, check the provider’s name, then turn Allow service provider access on or off.
Result: the change is saved immediately — there is no Save button — and the message Security settings updated successfully appears. It takes effect at once: with the switch off, the service provider’s staff lose access from their next click, even if they are signed in at that moment.
